ICFs (Insulated Concrete Forms) |

Any kind of construction needs a good solid base. We use ICFs not only for their strength, but also for their insulating value. Below you'll see why.
These two photos are from the same home project. The one on the left shows the block foundation of an unheated garage. The one on the right is the house foundation, constructed using ICFs. The house has heated floors and was set at a temperature of 70 degrees. You can see the heat loss from the block foundation, and the insulation benefits of the ICFs. |

The insulating value of ICFs really pays off with radiant floor heating systems. The heat stays inside as you can see in the above example. |

Another important reason to use ICFs is for their strength. We use ICFs for almost all the foundations and basements we construct. |
